What is RSS?

RSS is a format for distributing and gathering content from sources across the Web, including newspapers, magazines and blogs. RSS is a great way for you to get the latest stories from Carolina Currents via formatted content feeds. An RSS reader is required to view the feeds (see below).

How do I get my feed?

RSS stands for "real simple syndication," so we've kept it simple. If you have an RSS feed set up already, simply choose which content you want to receive from the list below. Click on the link to the left of the title and it should be automatically added to your incoming content. Each Carolina Currents RSS feed contains headlines and links to full articles in many sections of Carolina Currents.

What do I need for my feed?

If you already have a personalized MyYahoo! page, you can click the MyYahoo! graphic next to each feed to try adding RSS feeds to it through the Yahoo! RSS beta test.

If you don't have an RSS reader or service yet, below is a sampling of sites where you can download yours. RSS Readers are applications used to view and gather RSS feeds. Web-based readers are available online as well as free, downloadable readers that can reside right on your desktop.

Yahoo! and Google can be a great resource for finding the right RSS Reader for you.

Each RSS reader can have specific settings so follow your program's directions for signing up.
